Saint John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church

Sunday School

St John Church currently has Sunday School for children from 2 years old through 6th grade.

For the 2022-2023 School Year, in God’s relationship with His people, we’re studying the Old Testament, beginning with God’s work of Creation, and ending with the Prophet Habakkuk.

The older children are excited to use their Orthodox Study Bibles each week and are building up biblical literacy… learning how to look things up.

During the Triodion (the 3 Sundays before Lent begins) and during Lent, we’ll take a break from the Old Testament and focus our attention on the significance of each of these Sundays for our lives.

If you have any questions and would like to register your child for Sunday School, please email Presvytera Danita at DanitaLydia@gmail.com

When & Where To Go… Plus Class Length

Kids should get in line first for Communion, because Sunday School meets, immediately after receiving the gifts.

Together with their teachers, the children will head next door into the Fellowship Hall for a snack before going to their respective classrooms.

Our “Littles” (2 years to kindergarten) class lasts about 20-25 minutes. The older children’s class (1st – 6th grade) is around 30-40 minutes.
